Analyzing the Screen: Movie Night with Psychology Club

Date and Time | Wednesday, March 25 2026 at 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Location | DWTN 109 A-1 GenRe Auditorium

Description

The Psychology Club turned movie night into a psychological deep dive with a screening of Split, a thriller centered on abnormal psychology and dissociative identity disorder. Students came out for an evening of suspense, snacks, and discussion, with pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, and a photo booth adding to the fun.

Students in participating psychology courses also had the opportunity to earn extra credit by attending and completing a short reflection connecting the film to class concepts. It was a great example of how psychology can be explored in a way that is both engaging and memorable.

Bloom & Bond is a cute meet-and-greet designed to help active psychology members connect in a relaxed, welcoming environment at the start of the semester. The event combines a social component with a hands-on flower-arranging activity, allowing students to create a small arrangement they can keep or gift to another. Light refreshments will also be provided to encourage conversation and community-building among students interested in psychology. The goal of this event is to increase member engagement, strengthen connections within the club, and create an inviting atmosphere for both new and returning members.

⭐Reviews⭐

“By FAR, the ABSOLUTE BEST EVENT I HAVE ATTENDED THUS FAR IN MY LIFE. It was a simple, in theory but a multilayered in reality, event where the location was astounding, the music was bumpin, the crowd and atmosphere were kind, and the music was perfect. It was no pressure and the activity was incredibly fun. This is someone who knows the elements of a good time and knows how to throw a good party, and they used their superpowers for good. I am honored to have been a guest and truly cannot wait to see how this event gets topped.”

“So beautiful, relaxing experience!! Thanks”
